Jeevan Jyoti Health Care and Research Trust is a registered charitable institution established to provide medical relief, medical education and support national program as well as to focus on the local health care requirements.

The trust is involved in health care, diagnostic centers, fitness and related activities. It promotes social, educational and medical research activities.

Even before the trust was registered it has been carrying out humanitarian activities such as arranging blood donation camp under the auspices of Jeevan Jyoti Blood bank and components and associated functionary.

Under the aegis of the trust free blood and blood product are being provided to the patients of thalassemia major, sickle cell anaemia and haemophilia.

Nagpur and its surrounding area is a bastion of sickle cell disease (SCD) with little governmental or NGO participation in controlling the dreaded condition. The trust has therefore taken upon itself to undertake various means to help in controlling birth of children with sickle cell disease in collaboration with like-minded organization, such as lion, Rotary, Masonic Lodge, anthropological survey of India, Medical collages and overseas participation.

History of Nagpur

The name Nagpur appears for the first time on record in the 10th century. The city was founded by Bakht Buland Shah a tribal Gond King in the early 18th century. Later the city became capital of the Bhonsale’s in 1765. Nagpur is situated in centre of country. It is an erstwhile capital Provinces and (old) Madhya Pradesh, till it was merged with Maharashtra in the year 1956. Nagpur is second capital of Maharashtra State.

How can you help?

We seek collaboration to start new diagnostic facilities in areas of Pathology, microbiology, Molecular Diagnostics and transfusion medicine. We also seek scientific collaboration in research, clinical trials and training.

Donations are welcome in the form of kind. Financial donation to trust are exempted under income tax act 80G.
